We are all told to remain calm in the face of an emergency, but how can we when everyone around us is freaking out because they’re not prepared, it gets contagious and things can get out of control. If we all prepare for a disaster and are able to take care of ourselves, we will be much more equipped to help each other.
Being prepared is more than just “stocking up” for hard times. It’s a can do attitude, a personal commitment to see your goals and dreams fulfilled. We do not look at surviving as just getting prepared for the end of time, it’s getting prepared for a new beginning; an opportunity to look at ourselves and the world around us and become more of what we can be; to live a life of purpose and meaning. Yes, there are evil forces out there that want to destroy us. There’s an economic change coming. There are terrorists who want us dead. There are unexplained climate changes, causing more natural disasters than in recent history. There’s a crushing burden on the American family. We believe this is not a time to dig a hole in the ground and sit and wait for the apocalypse. NO! Quite the contrary, we are to be proactive with our God given talents, to share our thoughts and talents with those people whom we come in contact with on a daily basis out of love and respect. We have a responsibility to educate and teach, to have an impact on those lives. It was said that “The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing”—Albert Einstein.
What does survival mean to you?
